Consumed

As is elaborated in Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens, human beings have a natural propensity towards greed from primordial times. Fearing the same in me, and under the consuming peer pressure, I looked at art as functional therapy and made this piece.
While incorporating the dissolving lines in the unified soul, I concluded that greed takes away the pleasure of doing a job well and alters the motive.
This artwork depicts a person’s road to success, and finally being consumed by his own greed. Charcoal allowed me the ease to work on the diffusing aspects of one’s personality, which is always willing to incur changes.
